Why Wikipedia is not yet mature?

Because I do not see it fit for science and here is why.

First, Wikipedia is academically non-citeable, meaning that no scientific paper can contain references to its articles, no matter how great they are.

http://www.bodyspacesociety.eu/2009/05/01/the-end-of-wikipedia-as-we-know-it/Second, Wikipedia has deleted the page I created in the past about science. What happened was that I spend my time, created an article about CELIV, Charge Extraction by Linearly Increasing Voltage and it just got deleted. The reasons for deletion were:
"
  • Delete far too specific a sub-term, and described in the article as 'novel'. If someone creates a Charge Carrier Extraction article, this material could go there. JJL (talk) 01:11, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
  • Delete, probable original research. JIP | Talk 05:47, 8 June 2009 (UTC)"

Now finally CELIV technique has launched. There are 19600 articles found on the internet on exact phrase: "Charge Extraction by Linearly Increasing Voltage". That technique has proven to be used for many scientists.

The irony of all this issue is that CELIV has been used to create the technology, electronic devices in particular that Wikipedia itself runs on or will run in the future, to say more precisely. Yet, they killed the article and suppressed its spread and overall progress!

Well, after being harsh about it, I have to say honestly, that Wikipedia has been of a great help for me both academically and privately. So, I might change my mind soon and start supporting it, especially if I see that they have finally matured.
