Luck favors the prepared mind or my approach to live

The purpose of life to me is to create something, it does not matter what, but that something I believe should be of top quality, first class. "You can be cops or criminals", say Jack Nicholson in "The Departed" movie, "but when you are facing the loaded gun, whats the difference?". And the difference is how good of a "cop" or "criminal" you are, how you standout from the rest of the grey crowd of people.
Anyway, here is a story, a lecture of a lifetime about science, scientists, and approach to life, occupation in trying to be the best of the best. Its a story of a famous American mathematician, Richard Hamming, made at Bell Communications Research Colloquium Seminar7 March 1986, titled "You and Your Research". Enjoy the reading!
And here is video of the same speech.
